Based on deeply investigation of evaporative cooling application condition in northwest china, the author analyses the main problem existed in present application, and puts forward improvement ways and research directions later.
The refrigerant in evaporative cooling is water, not CFCS. It has no pollution to the atmosphere. Its COP is higher than that of conventional mechanical refrigerator, and its energy consume is one fifth to that of conventional air conditioning equipment. It’s initial invest is low, which is about one seventh to that of conventional air conditioning equipment. It has function of humidification also. So this environment protection, energy saving and economical technology is widely used in southwest America, most area in Australia and a lot of arid and half-arid area in the world.
